Our runner rugs come in 2x6 and 2x10 on nearly every design, for hallways, kitchens, entries and bedsides. They have the same printed low pile and non-slip backing as our area rugs, so a runner can match the rug in the next room. A few vintage styles add 2x5, 2x7, 2x8 and 2x12 lengths.

2x6 or 2x10?
A 2x6 covers a spot you stand in: the sink, the side of the bed or the floor just inside a door. A 2x10 covers a path you walk, like a hallway, a galley kitchen or the aisle beside an island.
Washable runners fit even a compact 2.2 cu ft washer, and Wash Free runners mostly wipe clean, so they need washing far less often.
The cushioned anti-fatigue mat sets listed here are PVC kitchen mats; wipe them clean and use them on dry floors only.
Runner Rug FAQs
What's the difference between a rug and a runner?
A runner is long and narrow, usually 2 to 3 feet wide and at least twice as long, and it follows a walkway. An area rug is wider and anchors furniture, like a 5x7 under a coffee table or an 8x10 under a sofa.
What is the point of a runner rug?
It protects the floor along the path you walk most, softens footsteps and fills narrow spaces an area rug can't. A runner in the same print as a nearby area rug also ties two spaces together.
Is a 3x5 rug a runner?
No, a 3x5 is an accent rug: at 3 by 5 feet it is too wide and too short to follow a walkway. If a 2x6 is too long for your spot, a 2x3 or 3x5 is the better fit.
