Our brown and tan rugs run from light taupe and tan to deep espresso. Prints include leopard, cow and deer designs, faded vintage Persians, botanical florals and plaids, mostly machine-washable low pile in 2x3 to 10x14 with 2x6 and 2x10 runners. A few outdoor rugs, a Wash Free rug and a kitchen mat set are here too.

Tan, Taupe and Espresso
Tan and light taupe styles, mostly vintage Persian and tribal prints, keep a room light and blend with beige walls and oak floors. Deep brown and espresso anchor a room with pale floors or a white sofa.
Brown also forgives a lot: dust, pet hair and tracked-in dirt show far less on a mid-brown print than on cream or gray, which makes it a good fit for entryways and family rooms.
Leopard, Cow Print and Plaid
Animal prints are the biggest group here: leopard spots, cow print, deer, and a zebra, leopard and snake mix, which suit farmhouse and rustic modern rooms. Brown plaid, checks and stripes give a cleaner, tailored look for a study or bedroom.
Brown and Tan Runners
Most brown styles come as 2x6 and 2x10 runners, and the Daria tribal runner adds 2x8 and 2x12 lengths for long hallways. In a kitchen, a darker print hides drips between washes.
Indoor rugs and runners go in the washing machine on a cold, gentle cycle without bleach; the Daria patio rug is machine washable too. The reversible outdoor rugs are swept or hosed off, and the 2-piece kitchen mat set wipes clean with a damp cloth on dry floors.
Brown Rug FAQs
Are brown rugs in style?
Yes, warm browns, tan and taupe are a popular choice as more people move toward warmer neutrals. They pair easily with wood, cream, green and rust.
What color rug goes best with brown?
With brown furniture or floors, a cream, tan or brown-and-beige rug keeps the room warm, while blue or green adds contrast. Pick a rug a few shades lighter or darker than the brown next to it so the two don't blend together.
What makes a rug look cheap?
Usually size and edges: a rug that's too small for the seating, or one with curled corners, looks cheaper than any material does. Faded vintage and tribal prints also read richer than a flat solid color.
