Bathroom Rugs

Our bathroom rugs are washable low-pile rugs for the floor by the vanity and the bathroom doorway. The prints suit the room: fish and sea creatures, tile-like checks and diamonds, soft florals and pale blue Persians. Most come in 2x3 and 3x5, and every one in a 2x6 runner for a double vanity.

Coastal, Floral or Checked

Fish, starfish and sea creatures give a coastal bathroom a theme, and blue checks, diamonds and stripes echo tile without adding another hard surface.

For a quieter room, the pale florals and faded blue Persians sit easily next to white fixtures.

Keeping It Clean and in Place

Wash it on its own on a cold, gentle cycle, without bleach or fabric softener, and let it dry completely before it goes back down.

The non-slip backing grips best on a dry floor, so keep the rug out of the shower's splash zone and lift it if water ever pools underneath.

Bathroom Rug FAQs

Is a bath mat the same as a bath rug?

Not quite: a bath mat is made to soak up water when you step out of the tub or shower, while a bath rug adds comfort and color to the rest of the floor. Ours are printed bath rugs, so keep a bath mat at the tub as well.

Are washable rugs good for bathrooms?

Yes, for the floor by the vanity or the door: a bathroom rug needs washing often, and these go straight into a home washer. A 2x3 or a 2x6 runner fits any washer from 2.2 cu ft.

Do people still put rugs in their bathrooms?

Yes, a patterned rug is one of the simplest ways to add color to a white or tiled bathroom. A washable one makes sense there, since bathroom rugs need cleaning more often than most.
